On Friday June 25th and Saturday June 26th, 2010 the MAP Mobile Store hosted “The Free Music Project”, and ongoing interactive art installation by Peter Foucault. For this event Chris Treggiari guest curated the music selection of choice cassette tapes. Viewers were invited to enter the store and select a tape of their choice that they could keep in exchange for writing down a memory, personal anecdote or story that was some how related to the content of the cassette they selected. These responses were collected and will be utilized in an upcoming project by Peter Foucault. The Left Coast Live Music festival in San Jose was an ideal location for this project since people were there to check out a wide range of musical styles.
